Here’s how you can add music or song to Snapchat stories or snaps using your App Library instead of adding it from Gallery.

From App Library

Visit App Drawer and launch Snapchat app on your Android or iPhone.

Now Snapchat Fam has two options, either they can add music first before video or they can add it after. Tap on the musical note icon in the upper right menu and add the sound.

Adding Music After Video recording: You can record the video first or take a snap. After that, use the musical note icon to add the desired track to your creation.

Press the Music icon, it will take you to Snapchat’s library of sounds. You can browse for music and also search for your favorite tracks.

Once you selected the song, Snapchat will push the sound feed to the bottom. Now users need to tap the play button on the right side to start the song and slide their fingers over the feed to choose the part of the song. As you can’t upload a full song in a short video. So Snapchat let you add your favorite portion of the song.

If you sent a snap the recipient can Play this Sound by tapping on the music sticker and then the play option at the bottom.

Add your own sounds to snaps

Here is the procedure through which users can add their own sounds to snaps while sending it to someone. This is also the one-time procedure for each snap. Users can now send cool and proper snaps to maintain their streaks instead of just capturing anything and sending it.

Step 1: Launch Snapchat’s music library.

Step 2: Side scroll on the bar at the top that says Featured, tap on ‘My Sound’s option.

Step 4: Tap on the mic icon and record the sound that you want.

Step 5: After the recording tap on stop.

Step 6: If you want to crop a specific portion of sound use the slicer.

Step 7: Rename the sound that you added ‘Make this sound public’, other users can also use the sound if allow.

Step 8: Now you will be redirected to the Snap camera screen again. Tap on the Music note icon and then on ‘My Sounds.’ You should find your own sound there.

Step 9: Select your sound and you are ready to share it as a snap or story.
